Media Officer (volunteer)
Pay: Voluntary - full support and expenses will be provided.
Length: To be decided but at least six months, with one day per week in our office
The media officer will maintain and increase brand awareness in Southport and Formby through regular social media posts, press releases, and the extensive development of the Compassion Acts website.
It is hoped the intern will also take photos and videos, write case studies, build on fundraising resources and write occasional minor grant applications.
Depending on the candidate, it is possible that the intern could move the organisation forward in terms of digital fundraising, taking advantage of the foundations laid to transition the charity to the next level.
Person Specification
The role will suit someone excited about the work of the charity and with a good standard of English. You will need to be creative, with an eye for design.
Experience in maintaining websites and social media sites will be useful.
This role will be a perfect opportunity for someone looking to change careers, or their first step on the career ladder. We are open to applications from all ages – the key is willingness, creativity and a desire to help the charity.
